SUJI HALWA (SEMOLINA DESSERT)❤️
My daughter just loves anything sweet…so every few days I have to make something for her…but its not only her… I also have a sweet tooth😇
Today I made this dessert/halwa for her after a really long time.
Halwa is an India dessert which is very common in our Indian households…this dessert is not at all junk and contains everything home made and everything healthy!
There is an interesting story behind this recreation! Once I saw one of my sisters serving me this halwa with pickle….and it was heavenly 😍 since then I have brought this dish to my home as well and I make sure to have it in the same style😁
Here I have a homemade mango pickle topping my halwa/dessert that was made by my sister-in-law and its just amazing!!👍

Here is the recipe for the halwa/dessert….
Cooking time: 15 mins
Prep time: 5 mins
•Suji/Semolina – 1 bowl
•Ghee/Clarified butter – 3 big spoons
•Sugar – 1/2 bowl (you can add more as per your taste)
•Cashew/kaju 8-10 crushed
•Almonds/Badam 8-10 crushed
•Raisins/Kishmish 10-12 •Milk – 1 cup
•Water – 2 cups
•Heat 2 spoons of ghee in a pan.
•Add suji/semolina into the pan.
•Roast the Suji/Semolina in ghee in the pan on medium flame until it turns light pink in colour.
•Add milk and water and keep stirring continuously….add sugar along with stirring.
•Once it thickens and takes a texture of halwa… add 1 spoon of ghee and mix well until it smoothens.
•Now add the crushed dry fruits into it and serve with pickle!
